The Vibe Way
Confidence, grace, and growth in motion.
Our dance studio in Dubuque, Iowa, is an uplifting environment where every dancer feels seen, challenged, and inspired.
For dancers, it looks like:
Coachability: Viewing corrections as tools for improvement, not criticism.
Saying “I can’t do this yet” instead of “I’m not good at this.”
Understanding that mistakes are a necessary part of learning.
Measuring progress against their past self rather than another dancer.
Trying challenging choreography without fearing failure.
Celebrating effort, consistency, and small improvements—not only trophies or featured roles.
Supporting teammates because another dancer’s success doesn’t diminish your own.
The Vibe Way means working hard, encouraging one another, celebrating individuality, and finding the confidence to shine — both onstage and in everyday life.
Our Programs
Our programs allow dancers to choose the experience that best matches their interests, goals, and level of commitment.
Recreational Classes
Recreational classes are perfect for dancers who want to learn, grow, and enjoy dance in a fun and supportive environment. Students build technique, confidence, coordination, and creativity through weekly classes, with the opportunity to perform in the annual studio recitals. No audition or previous dance experience is required.
Performance Team
The Performance Team is designed for dancers who want additional opportunities to perform without the full commitment of competitive dance. Team members strengthen their technique, learn choreography, and represent Vibe Dance Company at community events, showcases, parades, and other special performances. This program requires a greater commitment to attendance, teamwork, and rehearsals than recreational classes.
Competitive Team
The Competitive Team is for dedicated dancers who are ready for advanced training and a higher level of commitment. Dancers attend multiple classes and rehearsals each week, perform competition choreography, and participate in regional dance competitions and conventions. Competitive team members are expected to demonstrate strong attendance, discipline, teamwork, and a willingness to grow both technically and artistically. Placement is determined through auditions and instructor evaluation.
No matter which path a dancer chooses, every student is supported, challenged, and encouraged to grow — the Vibe Way.
